A special school quilt made in collaboration with the nursery and reception children from Downsview Primary and Nursery school.
The quilt is inspired by the nature that we observed on the school field. The children made some gorgeous drawings and from those I created fabric versions for the children to embroider onto. Inspired by traditional tree of life quilts I created the tree background for all of their beautiful patches to be sewn onto.
It was a real treat to share my love for sewing with the children and to see what amazing skills they could develop on such a short period of time.
